Sanaigmore Beach
North west Islay

 

Drive to Sanaigmore and park in the car park at the Exmoor Monument. A few minutes walk towards the sea and you will see the dunes and the beach. Proximity to the road makes the beach ideal for picnics; however the tides and currents here make the beach unsuited to swimming.

 

The scenery round Sanaigmore is beautiful and fun to explore ... walking to the left of the beach reveals a natural arch and another sandy beach.
