Big Strand Beach

Running part of the length of Loch Indaal, the Big Strand is seven miles long. A very long beach running from south of Bowmore all the way to Kintra Farm passing the airport and the Machrie Hotel. The beach is also liked by watersports enthusiasts offering good surf and safe swimming. Parking can happen at either end of the strand by Island Farm or Kintra Farm or near the centre by the airport.
