Ardnave Beach
North-west Islay
Park the car at Ardnave Loch noting the little crannog at the centre of the loch and take the path leading North East towards the sea where shortly the sight of the dunes will greet you. Its just a short walk to the beach. Looking out to sea you should now be able to make out the ruined chapel on Nave Island.
The beaches of Islay are famous the world over and yet you can wander the timeless sands with only the birds and the waves for company.
Islay... vivid, unspoilt splendour
